Description
Millie's last thought as her motorcycle launched into the atmosphere was, "I'm going to die!"
What do the soldier's old knapsack and the mysterious cardboard box in the overturned trailer have in common? A cryptic message from a missing man named Emmett and maps to a lost ship in the desert lead Jeremiah and Millie on a curious search.
When the pair become separated on their dirt bikes, they discover they aren't the only ones searching for the ship. Someone wants the map they have.
Alone, hurt and out of gas, Millie hears a noise like the rattling of a sidewinder. A loud scream escaping her throat is the last thing she remembers before passing out.
Suddenly, finding Millie is more important than searching for a legendary lost ship. Will they get there in time?

Reader Reviews
5.0 out of 5 stars A great series!
My son's review: The MotoMysteries novel Phantom ship in the Desert is an exiting, action packed book with with Christian values mixed in. The author of this book gave me a free, temporary digital copy to review. I am an 11 year old and highly enjoy reading. I have read all of the MotoMysterys books, and recommend these books for ages 9-12. I enjoyed reading The Hardy Boys, and this series is like Hardy Boys on motorcycles. Hooray!!!! - Amber S
5.0 out of 5 stars This book has attitude!
Each character will remind you of someone you know. Each event will have the younger generation thinking of how they would handle the situation (even if they are NOT in a desert hunting for treasure on 2 wheels). And for the older reader, it is a reminder of what kind of role model one can be. It's an epic read that takes real life situations, splashes it with crazy kid adventures and ways of thinking, and sprinkles it with good moral outcomes. - Holly
5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps you wanting to read
I received an advance copy of the "Phantom Ship in the Desert" and couldn't wait to start to read. It got my interest right away and I didn't want to put it down. It is written for younger readers, but totally kept me involved with the story. I love that the book teaches different lessons in it that apply to any age. Jeremiah and Millie took me along on another adventure, and I was a little sad when it ended. Can't wait to see what adventure they get into the next time!! - Debbie
5.0 out of 5 stars Such an amazing and suspenseful read!!
The book Phantom Ship in the Desert was such a great read and was written amazingly. I am 14 and being older I am very picky with books and I can say that this is a wonderful read for teenagers as well. I loved how suspenseful this book was and how it didn't follow the normal plot line because it focused on multiple things in the story. It focused on the importance of family, God, how your faith is tested, and adventure. I really enjoyed the new addition of characters which brought a new sense of liveliness to the story by making me more intrigued in the characters backstories and their role in the story. Once I started reading the book I could not put it down, the chapters leave you hanging on the edge of your seat. This book is my favorite by far in the MotoMysteries series and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves adventure, mystery, suspense, and family. - JGC
