Description

"Cool name, operation outfox," said Brad Olson.
"Yeah, looks like we'll be working on outfoxing the enemy," said Peter Olson. "Nah, that name is cheesy. And as for outfoxing the enemy, that's exactly what we do in airsoft," said Jim Olson.
Their brother, Sam, and sister Betty were sleeping on the bed next to them, gently snoring away. Sam and Jim were twenty years old and Betty and Peter were seventeen. Brad was the youngest, being fifteen years old. All of them were hyped up about two events, that was Christmas which was tomorrow, and an airsoft MilSim event named Operation Outfox that was the day after tomorrow. The airsoft field was huge, being six miles wide and nine miles long. Needless to say, the field took out a big chunk of San Francisco. The place was riddled with pits and trenches with mazes of underground tunnels, hills, extremely dense undergrowth, and almost no snow anywhere. It had a huge collection of forts and buildings scattered all around seemingly at random. It was a five-day-long event which meant that you could get shot in your sleep, assuming that the particular mission at that time was that long. Modes of transport included a helicopter which had led them to take along their BASE parachutes along with them, just in case.
"We'd better rest up guys, it's gonna be a long day tomorrow" said Jim.

The awake brothers crept into their sheets and went into a long, dreamless sleep. Christmas day dawned on, cold and steely with no trace of snow whatsoever. The siblings got fresh and dressed in warm woolen sweaters. They tromped downstairs and found their Christmas stockings full. Quickly, they emptied it and ripped their packages open. It was the gear for their airsoft MilSim. They all had got a full sniper loadout with ghillie suits, covered with leaves and moss and the occasional flower here or there along with matching helmets and face masks. The vegetation on their ghillie suits was so dense that they were completely hidden except for their eyes. Brad had got a Tokyo Marui along with an SSG-10 covered with a leaf suit. For bigger group kills, he got a six-round grenade launcher along with twenty boxes of TAG inn rounds, a rubber knife, and a tactical army pack also covered in a leaf suit for putting in the necessary gear like a compass and a water bottle. And camouflage hiking boots. Always camouflage hiking boots.
Sam, Betty, Jim and Peter, all had got similar ghillie suits, packs, boots, helmets, masks, pistols, and the grenade launcher as they all preferred them. Their choices varied only on their rifles. Sam got a VSR-10 as he preferred a long-range over a high cyclic rate. Betty got an SR25 as she thought the snipers were insufferably slow. Jim got an M-14 and Peter got a SCAR. They spent the entire day checking if their rifles were in working conditions. They tried out their ghillie suits and tested their grenade launchers. After a long day of work, they went to sleep.
The next day dawned cold and grey.
