Description
In the sixteenth century, amidst the glory of the Italian Renaissance, a young goldsmith who was determined to excel in his art, worked his way to fame. He wrought precious metals and stones into articles and sculptures of unique beauty. Kings, Emperors and Popes vied for his services. His name was Benvenuto Cellini.
Cellini was a free, independent soul, whose daily life was as full of impulsive adventure as his works were full of painstaking, patient effort. His daring nature led him into duels, intrigues, banishments, imprisonments and wars. But one desire ruled his life... a desire to excel in his art.
