Sestinas from the New World, is a sample of poems of this type, written from the time I was 14 until the present time. This is my first book, my footprint into the art form I love so well. I hope one day this book will join the many poetry books that have inspired me. This book spans different life experiences: love, war, death, and sometimes dreams. I have dealt with a lot of issues in the human experience. These sestinas, have been my calm in a storm, they have been my children that I have committed to, sometimes I write one, sometimes three or four a day. I have been inspired by Shelley, Shakespeare, Dickinson, Whitman, Ginsberg, to name a few. I hope this book becomes a part of your experience and a journey in to poetry.
