Description

A collection of 40 modern monologues written during a time of extreme global stress and uncertainty.

Throughout the lockdowns and social restrictions of the coronavirus pandemic of 2020/21, a group of actors and actresses turned their attention to writing as a creative outlet. These monologues range from sci-fi to kitchen sink drama, from the absurd to the poetic.

When our work dries up, when the auditions disappear, when the entire entertainment industry goes into hibernation, creativity does not stop. What began as a challenge to pen a monologue as part of an online acting exercise turned into a regular creative outlet, writing to a theme which resulted in monologues as varied as the performers who penned them.
