Description
Early Christians were steadfast in their faith, to the point of no return. Courage, love for their one true God and humility led them into horrific torturings and finally martrydom whether they were rich or poor, of high status or young or old.
The king threatened Catherine, "In this machine you will experience death if you do not worship the gods."
The soldiers took Catherine and went to the place of condemnation. Many people followed, weeping bitterly for the martyr, who was about to perish.
She prayed and went silently as a lamb to slaughter.
On November 25, of the year 307, the executioner cut off her honorable head by sword and Saint Catherine's holy relics were carried to Mount Sinai by the Holy Angels.
Historical events of a Saint.
