About the Author

Dr. Gordon Jones is a co-founder of Validide Corporation, a privacy protection technology company safeguarding your personal information. He's a former health executive turned techie who started leveraging the capabilities of blockchain to boost digital health innovation as well as other emerging tech startups. He goes by the mantra, "As I Teach, I Learn." He is a Fellow of the iSchool, Entrepreneur-in-Residence of the College of Information and Communications, and faculty member at the University of South Carolina teaching blockchain, information science, and data privacy; he is the Founder of the Createyourself community where he provides practicable ideas to help individuals live their best life.

Dr. Jones is a veteran spending six years in the US Army after graduating from The Citadel, serving two tours with the 82nd Airborne Division, three years in the South Carolina National Guard, and he continues his service as an officer in the South Carolina State Guard. He and his wife are parents through the adoption of five children with special needs and live in North Augusta, South Carolina. They are active members of Lakeside Baptist Church and believe that their faith and trust in God are what allow them to pursue their dreams.
