Kxyzvalendarizandun. It is a name that instills fear in all who hear it, for it is the name of the greatest evil Gen'ric has ever known, the unending threat of the Demon King. Even when heroes rise up to slay him, they buy only a few centuries of respite before he returns once more to cover the land in darkness.

After six hundred years, that cycle is ready to begin anew. The village of Midnow seems to have nothing but an endless supply of obnoxious villagers to try her patience, and she can't even incinerate them lest they rise up in reprisal and destroy her!
