Description
Life moved on, and Cyohn was settling nicely with his mate, Nuri and their seven pups. But something was niggling at his mind, or more specifically, his wolf's mind. The beast wouldn't settle, and when one of previously rescued omegas moved into his house to help Nuri with the pups, Cyohn thought he knew why.
Only, he was mated, happily mated, so why was his body and his wolf reacting to Tessil? It didn't make sense, so maybe he didn't know. He might have to cave and talk to Kiertin, something he really didn't want to do.
Except his very perceptive omega made that decision before him, and now Cyohn knew what was happening. But he didn't like it and wasn't sure what to do with all the feelings battling inside him. Does he succumb to the inevitable? Or does he fight it tooth and claw?
Choice made, actions taken, and suddenly, Cyohn was once again forced away from Glacier, this time unsure whether he'd live to return. And what did that mean for Nuri and Tessil?
*~*~*~*
Pain was something Nuri had gotten used to when Cyohn had been gone, apparently living a wonderful life in another pack. But then he returned, and their life was finally falling into place.
Except it wasn't, and Nuri didn't know what to do. After speaking with Kiertin, at least he knew he wasn't losing his mind. Now he only had to convince Cyohn he wasn't crazy. That wasn't going to be easy, not with his very stoic mate.
Then there were the foreign feelings he couldn't ignore. Feelings about Tessil. Before he could figure out what that meant, everything changed, and once more, Cyohn was gone.
And Nuri's world -- again -- was filled with pain. Only this time, it was a whole lot worse, and the outcome might just kill him, and Tessil, literally.
