Fowler City is in many ways like any other major city. Full of filth, noise, crime -- and supers. Heroes, villains, and everyone in between, they can all be found in Fowler.

Christine moves to Fowler in search of work to pay off her student loans and get her parents off her back. Her plans are thrown slightly off-kilter when an interview turns into a hostage situation... with her as the hostage. Thankfully, someone swoops in to save the day, though it's not one of Fowler's heroes, but a vigilante: a woman known as Somber, whose powers control darkness itself.

Not everything about Somber is quite as doom and gloom as her reputation suggests. But the closer Christine gets to the super, the more she comes to understand the dangers of a life in the shadows.
