Wojciech and Irene get some time to themselves to enjoy their first child before the king has a mission for them. Fortunately they can combine this with the long-intended visit to England to visit Irenka's relatives.
England is a bit of a culture shock. Duels are fought and quarrels settled with the blade, but that's not what Wojciech calls a sword. What Wojciech calls a sword can, however, be used against the highwaymen, footpads and violent protestors who swarm the roads, where no single jurisdiction is willing to take responsibility for putting them down. However, hunting footpads is the only big game to be had in England where a lot of people seem to take seriously hunting of the... wait a minute, the fox? Where's the sport in that?
Wojciech and party also rescue damsels in distress, and handle the little problem Irene's grandparents have.
