Description

The power did not corrupt Vladimir Putin. He was a bastard all along.

Putin imagined himself a historical figure on par with Peter the Great but turned out to be a poor-mans Hitler. The attack on Ukraine, which was supposed to be his greatest achievement, turned into his defeat.

Putin is the main war criminal, but Russian society readily accepted his decision. A short-lived ray of hope for a democratic Russia has been extinguished. Russia has been on a patch to this war since Boris Yeltsin's coup d'etat in 1993.

Russian society was ready to march on Ukraine because of the pervasive idea of Russian superiority. The Soviet Union has fostered Russian chauvinism and racism, and Putin's propaganda unashamedly promoted it. Putin expressed a sentiment held by many. Russians view Ukrainians, Georgians, and other nations of their imagined "Russian sphere of influence" as their subjects.

Ukraine is fighting for its right to exist as a country and as a nation. Ukraine is fighting for peace in Europe and the world.
