I created this book to inspire and encourage women who have suffered the emotional, mental, psychological and possibly physical trauma of domestic violence. There is hope and there is healing for a better future for your life. You were not put in this world to be unhappy and filled with sadness, despair and fear. I hope that through my sharing of my experiences with an abusive partner it will help you relate with your own personal experiences. You are not alone. You have not done anything wrong and it is not your fault that you were abused in this manner. My hope is that you will feel a sense of empowerment and that you will feel inspired through reading my story of what I experienced as a victim of domestic abuse. Healing is a process. It takes time and everyone's experience will be different. There is no specific time to "get over" what you have experienced so take the time that you need to process and fully heal. I hope that this book will provide helpful solutions to victims who still may feel a deep sense of despair, loneliness, sadness, and uselessness and help them to repair and rebuild their self-esteem, their self-worth and their self-confidence so that they will believe in themselves and know in their heart and soul that they are beautiful and truly loveable women.
