Description
From the Foreword by Todd Colby: ''Dark absurdity and tender rumination coexist in this collection. It is a truthful evidence of a mind that pauses to reflect on what is, what was, and what could have been. All of this is accomplished with the directness of talking to a neighbor or chatting on a porch. He elevates the colloquial to the level of art, taking fleeting glimpses, mutable moods, brief encounters, deep friendships, and adds his special sauce that makes it all sing and dance, sometimes with a whisper, sometimes with a mild roar, but always with a feeling of recognition. I find myself holding my breath when I read this collection, anticipating a moment when a revelation happens and a truth is divulged.''
