Description
Ray Sedecki is being pursued by Jesus and Ray does not like it. Ray does not understand a God of love who allows bad things to happen to good people. When Ray is thrust into a new position at work, he meets a young woman named Rebecca, whom he immediately falls in love with. This results in a dilemma of epidemic proportions. (At least in Ray's mind) Ray wants no part of Christianity, yet wants to be a big part of Rebecca's life. But she draws a solid line in the sand. No Jesus/No Rebecca. Thus begins a series of events where Ray is forced to come to grips with life. Told from Ray's perspective, the story has humor, and tragedy, and heart. It is a reminder of God's redeeming love for all of us, through the good times and the bad.
"Every author attempts to be original, but few attain it. Sedecki's Dilemma is one of those delights, a "hole-in-the-wall" literary treasure. Geiser's debut novel presents the story of one man's religious journey, which at first glance seems commonplace but the more you read, the more its impact lingers, demanding another visit. But beyond the intrigue, which gains energy in each chapter, Geiser's greatest impact is his subtle use of apologetics. Every human is destined for a crisis of faith and Sedecki's Dilemma treats it with an urgency that is compelling but not preachy. This is a must-read."
