Carlie Wilson is a young woman in her twenties who works for a temp agency that hires out her services to various companies who are in need of an experienced stenographer. In spite of being offered several permanent positions, she prefers to stay with the temp agency because it offers her the flexibility, she needs with her work hours in order to take care of her aging mother.

Carlie's mother is concerned, that due to her aging challenges, Carlie will miss out on the best years of her life to find Mr. Right and get married.

Mr. Right has discovered Carlie and has plans of his own to win her affection. Dane Watson is a successful attorney for a finance company and recently discovered Carlie when she came to work for him. She is very businesslike and professional and has no idea that Dane is even interested in her.
