Description

When prospectors go missing in the vicinity of El Paso and the rangers can't be sure whether one of their own in the region might be involved, J.D. Pettit is sent undercover to investigate. In El Paso, J.D. meets two hired guns who take a liking to him. They introduce him to the daughter of the man who owns the company they work for, a gold mining company with grand designs. He soon finds that he's landed right in the middle of a nest of vipers and he can't be sure who can be trusted.

He faces a dilemma. How far should he go to maintain his undercover identity, and to whom can he go when he needs help?
