Description

Don't Ask Me Why is a story about falling in love and also of discovering oneself.

It follows the lives of Rupendre, a ruthless business maven, and Diyali, a restless, footloose, dreamer who wants to fight for social justice. The story begins from the day they are born to the day they cross paths and fall in love.

Hidden hurts and resentments in Diyali's heart battle with awakening desire for Rupendre and torment her.

As they meet again and again and their relationship deepens, Rupendre finds himself hopelessly ensnared. He begins to question why Diyali will not entrust her heart into his safe keeping while she struggles to believe in him. She tests him without his awareness and he fails those tests.

Her fear of love is rooted in childhood betrayals by her parents and family. They abandoned her. How can she believe a man will protect her heart??

Can they bridge their differences and find their happy ever after?

The story is set in Mumbai, hilly areas resembling Aravallis, (Specifically Rajsamand and Udaipur) Provence, Cannes, Brasenose College, Harvard, London, Bharatpur - Agra - Bhopal (NH- 48), Hampshire in the UK, back to the hills of Rajasthan.

Come follow Diyali and Rupendre as they travel from one place to another and finally reach their destiny.
