Description
Join Genny Hadley - bakery owner, dog-lover, retired DI and amateur detective - for a new case, and this time nothing is as it seems...
A victim who seemed to know they were going to die. A diary full of clues. Three confessions and no proof.
When the Commodore of Solan Sailing Club Pippa Sandford-Hogg's body is found washed up on a beach in Solan, three people come to confess their guilt to DI Cochran.
First is Roger Hogg, Pippa's widower, who tearfully admits to shoving her overboard their boat during an argument the night before. He did not see her again.
Next, young Josh Aston, a waiter at the sailing club, who saw Pippa drowning in the ocean and did nothing to save her.
Finally, Natalie Ryedale, Pippa's PA, who turns herself into the Solan police station claiming she accidentally poisoned her boss the night of her death.
From the start, this case has Genny and DI Cochran on the ropes; why are all three people adamant that they are responsible for Pippa's death?
The final clues come in the form of Pippa's own diary, left in a locked drawer in her office at the sailing club. The final entry reads: I know I will not live much longer. Death is coming for me, and soon.
Fans of Midsomer Murders, Death in Paradise and The Flora Steele Mysteries will love this cozy murder mystery series!
