Description
In their third case together, cozy mystery author "Agatha" and homicide investigator "Smitty" work together to catch a dangerous killer who murdered two wolf behaviorists in two different states by two different methods to hide a dangerous secret about wolves and wolf-dogs. This is a stand-alone mystery.
As they arrive in Rowley Village, Vermont to enjoy their first vacation together as a couple, Agatha stumbles over a dead body during a blizzard. Luckily, Smitty has two experienced cops with him to help him investigate this homicide: his sister Joanie and his brother-in-law Jim, better known as Good Cop Pickleford. He also has his romantic partner, Agatha, the modern-day author of whodunit murder mysteries who channels her inner Dame Agatha Christie to understand a dangerous killer's motives for murder.
The last thing anyone expects is for a hangry white wolf to take a shine to Agatha. Or is it a wolf-dog? Or maybe just a lost dog? It's hard to tell without a genetic test! The malnourished creature keeps scratching at the door, trying to get close to her. Is this a Big, Bad, Wolf or a misunderstood pup? Agatha wants to feed the poor thing. Smitty wants to... well, you'll find out what he wants to do!
To calm "Wolfie" down when he gets rambunctious, Agatha creates a playlist of wolf songs from Shakira to Mozart. She's convinced he's soothed by the music. Is it wishful thinking on her part? With Joanie and Jim Pickleford to assist them, Agatha and Smitty throw themselves into the homicide investigation that has an ending no one saw coming.
Move over, Tommy and Tuppence Beresford and Nick and Nora Charles. Make room for Agatha and Smitty, the humorous and dynamic duo that's determined to solve this baffling mystery in record time!
