Description
Crazy Paving by Miles Tredinnick with a Foreword by Simon Napier-Bell is a humorous illustrated memoir of how not to get to the top in showbusiness.
Miles Tredinnick, not even a household name in his own household, recounts his life as he tries everything in showbiz to try and become successful. From his first job as a teenage office boy working for The Bee Gees and Eric Clapton to renaming himself Riff Regan as lead singer of original 70s punk band London, Miles wrote scripts for Frankie Howerd, had a BBC sitcom Wyatt's Watchdogs that was one of the biggest flops in television history, and ended up writing one episode of Birds of a Feather before he was fired. Along the way he's been a minicab driver, a film extra, a playwright, and has even performed on the famous Las Vegas strip (as an open-top bus tour guide!). He's met all the big names and just wishes they would move over and let him join the club. Read about his hilarious attempts to try and make it in this highly entertaining personal memoir. It's a must read for anyone who ever wants to be in a band, become a comedy writer or just 'have a go' in showbiz!
"If he takes a right turn, he quickly goes back and looks for a wrong one instead. Very funny" - Simon Napier-Bell.
