Description

Ireland, 1848.
A chance encounter, a shocking murder. And an unforeseen entanglement of the heart.

Archibald Bellinger doesn't believe in entanglements of the heart. All the greater is his surprise when a chance encounter at a disreputable locale leaves him strangely captivated. Having gone there in search of a pleasant evening, he leaves with his mind in turmoil instead.

Who is the diminutive Cara Scott? And what was she doing at Madam Eliza's?

Unable to get Cara out of his head Archie tracks her down a few days later, only to find himself wrapped up in her search for answers about her inheritance. But when a shocking murder leaves Cara as the main suspect Archie is confronted with a choice: let her face her fate alone or help solve the crime and clear her name -- and leave his heart open for entanglement.

Archie's Tale is an Irish Fortune Series novella, featuring the charming Captain Archibald Bellinger, as well as a few other secondary characters from the main series. It's a light read that can be read as a stand-alone or a spin-off from the Irish Fortune Series, which is set in 19th century Ireland around the time of the Great Famine.
