Jake isn't having a great time. Not even a little bit. Instead of being seen as a hero, having saved lives a few times in the previous weeks, he's unfairly locked up in a tiny cell. One of his least favorite things.
True, the cell is at school and not in a correctional facility and he only has to be there for eight hours a day... That leaves time to practice some new skills. That and make a new enemy that no one in the world would even bother to think was possible. Even Jacob doesn't find it all that realistic and he plays with vampires, demons and aliens of a fairly regular basis.

This time it isn't about survival.
