Description
Having escaped death at Reichenbach Falls, Sherlock Holmes made the difficult decision to retire completely from the life of a consulting detective. Only his brother Mycroft is aware he survived the falls and has assumed an alias, becoming a gentleman farmer and beekeeper in upstate New York, where he immerses himself in horticulture, inventions, and a change meeting the Theodore Roosevelt.
However, when the world's growing anarchist movement, known as the Hive, compels Mycroft and the Prime Minister to seek out Sherlock for assistance with what could be the beginning of a global revolution, Holmes reluctantly becomes embroiled in his most dangerous case yet. Murder, chaos, and assassination are all on the table, alongside the potential toppling of Europe's monarchies.
As he navigates this treacherous landscape, Holmes enlists his oldest friends, colleagues, and new allies to help him crack the case. This intricate web of intrigue spans the Atlantic, reaching deep into London's darkest criminal elements and drawing him back into a world where betrayal abounds and no one can truly be trusted -- especially when a familiar face from his past resurfaces.
